Clean Water and Hand Pumps
God is concerned about redemption in every aspect of our lives.  Most of the people who have received God’s grace through your partnership with the Gateway Center live in the world described by the statistics in the box above.  Drought and scarcity of water plagues Uganda and Rwanda.  Many wells have been drilled, but countless wells are unusable because the pumps are broken and no one knows how to fix them.  In Haiti, the water people  get  from wells is so badly contaminated they are in constantly sick.

Water and health is a basic foundation for releasing the Kingdom of God in these nations and the nations the Lord has ordained them to touch. The Lord began to show us this need and how to meet it by introducing  us to Edge Outreach International.
Their ministry to bringing clean water to the world.  Key elements include training teams of people to repair the three basic pumps that are used in most of the world, installing simple water purifiers , and teaching hygiene to insure the benefits remain. These teams of common people go into the nations and train local people how to provide in these three areas. EDGE seems a natural partnership to empower the people of Uganda, Rwanda and Haiti.

Ken attended their International Water Training Conference and Hand Water Pump repair seminars in order to understand the process and know how best to integrate the work of our respective ministries. Like the work itself the conference was beyond Gateway resources, so we turned to you for help.  Your faithful response to the Lord was immediate and Ken was able to register.

One of the amazing things about these workshops was the nature of the participants.  They weren’t all engineers or doctors or seminary trained clergy.  The mix was young and old, professionals and blue collar people.  God brought ordinary people from all over the U.S. and Canada together to do extra ordinary things.  The excitement was contagious as people realized that they could do simple things that would change and improve the everyday lives of people by bringing them pure water.

The Lord is bringing a new dimension of fruit to your ministry through the Gateway Center.   With this cooperative partnership  you are bringing both the word of life to change people and pure water that will transform their physical lives.  To God be the Glory!
