Development Projects in Rwanda

Your ministry has also reached the poor of Rwanda. A Gateway ministry team traveled to Rwanda to assess micro enterprise projects funded through the Gateway Center last year.

Teams visited projects in the mornings and conducted training in the afternoon to address areas where help was needed to successfully move the association forward.

The Gateway Center team will be putting together a budget tool that will assist these and other associations in keeping better records and managing their projects.  It will also be used as a training tool to help incorporate sound business concepts  into the minds of these budding entrepreneurs.

There are over 200 savings associations that have been formed in the Kibungo Diocese alone and most of the people involved lack basic skills for business plans and management of micro enterprise projects.

These associations form the backbone of efforts to help the poorest of the poor rise up from poverty and begin to meet basic needs.
