Building Educational Strategies and Evaluating Business to Business Opportunities to Assist the Local Church

GCWM-Working with China-focused ministries since 2000

Harvest International Ministries contacted GCWM to help them develop a ministry that would bring the Gospel to China by getting churches to adopt 1000 villages for prayer until a church was established in each of them. GCWM helped them focus the vision and build the sending team, and trained them to meet the requirements set by the ministry covering them.

GCWM staff visited HIM missionaries on the field in 2004 to strengthen them and evaluate the needs of the Body of Christ where they minister.

The Challenge:

• Christians have great passion and vision but often lack the means to travel and training to sustain the work of the Gospel.
• Gaining access is difficult due to government restrictions and persecution.

The Plan:

• Work with business people who already have business relationships to gain access and to bring Biblical business principles to budding entrepreneurs. These connections may also be used to develop markets for products produced by Christians in the underground churches.
• Create a training entity that will bring in-service education to teachers in the schools of Yunan and adjacent provinces. These access opportunities will enable us to encourage Christians and develop opportunities to serve the people in a relevant way.
