Discipling God's People from Vision to Involvement
It is Raining in Uganda
April is the rainy season in Uganda. It is raining there in the natural realm and also in the spiritual realm. A satanic personality cult, based on a man named Bisaka, has held the people in bondage for 30 years. The Bisaka cult denies the existence of Christ and uses financial incentives and false healings to enslave its followers. There are 3000 congregations in Uganda and it has spread to Rwanda, the Congo and Canada. The good news is that the rain of the Holy Spirit and the word of God is beginning to break the grip Satan has held. We witnessed the celebration of the number two leader of the cult coming back to Christ. He publicly renounced the cult, asked forgiveness and committed his life to the Lord. His second in command also came back to Jesus along with over forty others in during celebration. The word of God has been preached in open air meetings over the last two years and several hundred of the cult followers have been delivered into the Kingdom of God.You have heard the cry for discipleship training to help mature these new believers and keep the gains that have been won.Your response is opening the floodgates that is releasing life and breaking strongholds of darkness in the minds of people. Sixty-five leaders representing ten parishes and eighty four small churches gathered for training that will help them establish discipleship programs. They were greatly touched that you would care for them enough to send someone out in the villages to love them and equip them for the task ahead. Ken preached in a church that had never seen the presence of a white person. The hill surrounding that tiny church rang with the praises of God.
As you read this letter, these leaders are already setting up team training sessions in their churches to equip the people in their congregations to keep the living water flowing. You have truly touched the heart of Africa with the Word of God and the love of God. “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Is. 55:10, 11
Thank you for helping send the rain.It will not return void to you or Uganda.
