Discipling God's People from Vision to Involvement

Gateway Center

The Gateway CWM is an inter-denominational, non-profit mission agency whose purpose is to encourage and arouse the growth of a movement for frontier missions (a missions effort focused on unreached people groups). Their ultimate goal is that every unreached people group would hear the Gospel in a relevant way by establishing strong, reproducing churches in each group.

The Gateway CWM also represents the U.S. Center for World Mission in the Central Midwest area.

We are convinced there can be A Church for Every People if only enough of the world's great cloud of believers can be quickly awakened to how little there is left to do! How can this be possible with over 6 billion people in the world and only 1/2 billion committed Christians?

The answer is the unique strategy of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19). Jesus did not say 'go and talk to every individual in the world.' He said to multiply by making disciples within all ethne (peoples).

So the task before us is not to evangelize 5 billion one-by-one, but to start an indigenous church movement within an estimated 10,000 unreached groups of people which are yet to be discipled.

The vast majority of these unreached peoples are Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Chinese or Tribal peoples. Approachable members of these groups can be found almost everywhere in the world, even in our large metropolitan cities. It's a whole new ball game, going for unreached peoples! - Ralph Winter

God has also given us a recognizable target concentrating 95% of these unreached peoples in an area of the globe stretching from 10 degrees North Latitude to 40 degrees North Latitude and from Africa to Japan. Commonly called the '10/40 Window'. All that is needed is for the church to awaken to God's priority and begin to strategically focus its prayer and resources to complete the task.

Vision Statement

To see the whole body of Christ have as a central theme of all ministry the goal of bringing worship to God from every tongue, tribe, people and nation.

Strategy

To help churches embrace God's global vision so that the gifts that He has placed in them will have their maximum impact.

To facilitate strategic partnerships within the whole body of Christ to utilize their resources in the most effective manner.

To give priority of all efforts in churches and partnerships toward ministry among unreached peoples.

Focused Programs

Church Mobilization-Bringing churches the tools, resources and training needed to equip the congregation to raise up and send missionaries; introducing churches to the opportunities here and abroad to be involved in the Great Commission.

Field Ministry-Discipling and facilitating missionaries both here and abroad to go to and to stay on the field; training indigenous leaders.

"Glocal" Partnerships-Facilitating organizations to be actively involved in the evangelization of the nations found locally; mentoring and encouraging leaders in all sectors to partner with each other.
